Macmillan Coffee Morning
This morning (30th September) we held a Coffee Morning in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support. We have a special place in our hearts for the Macmillan Nurses following Mr. Walker’s illness & treatment in 2012/13. The care provided by the kind & hard working Nurses we met was second to none & we will be forever grateful. Hopefully, we will now make this annual event which we can provide some support back to this amazing service. Check out the link here for more info about the good work the Macmillan nurses do on a daily basis – https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/about/why/

We had Sight Test appointments all morning along with the odd visitor off the street & Julie made a trip down Victoria Road with a basket full of goodies for the local business’ to enjoy. Mrs. Walker joined us for a coffee, a chat & a cake, mingling with our appointments & visitors to the coffee morning. We raised £280 for the Macmillan nurses & thoroughly enjoyed our morning, we’ve got plenty of sweet stuff left over to get some more donations over the coming days too so hopefully we’ll see that final total rise.
We hope to see you all next year for an even bigger event!
